At JMU: Fourth-year Duke who is expected to contend for a leading position at cornerback after seeing significant action his first three years... Player with athletic ability, good size and a good knowledge of the game, said secondary coach Mark Hendricks.
2010: Played in 10 games, starting nine of them... Totaled 50 tackles on the season including 28 solos... Led the team to a No. 1 pass defense in the CAA snagging a team-high three interceptions while breaking up four passes... Recorded seven tackles adding an interception and a pass break up in a win over Liberty... Had season-highs for both total and solo tackles with nine and seven respectively against New Hampshire... Recorded four or more tackles his final six games.
2009: Saw action in eight contests as a sophomore... Finished the season with 25 tackles, 18 solos, and two pass break-ups... Recorded three solo tackles in season opener at Maryland...Against VMI recorded four tackles, with two solos... Versus Liberty recorded six tackles, three solos... Against Hofstra recorded six tackles, five solos, and two pass break ups... Recorded two tackles each against Richmond, Villanova and Towson.
2008: Appeared in each of JMU's final 11 games during his first college season, working as a reserve defensive back and special teams player... Took part in 17 tackles, including 10 unassisted stops... Involved in a season-high four tackles vs. Delaware, including two solo stops... Had three tackles, including two unassisted, at Towson... Took part in two stops vs. Richmond, Villanova and Montana in the NCAA playoffs.
Before JMU: Played in 2007 at Fork Union Military Academy and previously at First Colonial High School... In 2006 as a scholastic senior was First-Team All-District, All-Region and All-State... Had 54 tackles and three interceptions... Played in high school with current teammate Pat Williams.
