Kaitlyn Barrett is an athletic academic advisor who works with the baseball, women’s soccer and cheerleading teams on study skills, time management, class registration and ensuring they are on track to graduate while also monitoring NCAA eligibility.
Prior to JMU, Kaitlyn worked at NC State University as an assistant athletic academic advisor and assisted their baseball, football, women’s soccer, men’s golf and volleyball teams. Kaitlyn began her career at Northern Illinois University where she was an intern helping the Student Athlete Academic Support Services with their tutorial program as well assisting baseball, women’s soccer, women’s golf and football student-athletes with their study skills.
Kaitlyn is an active member of N4A. When able, Kaitlyn likes to work on her professional development by attending various webinars, on campus events and connecting with other professionals in the career field.
Kaitlyn holds a Master of Science in Sport Management and a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Northern Illinois University. While earning her Bachelor of Science, Kaitlyn was a 4-year member of the varsity softball team at NIU.
