Lloyd Named Conference Field Athlete of the Week

HARRISONBURG, Va. – James Madison track & field junior Rachel Lloyd has been named the Colonial Athletic Association's Field Athlete of the Week, as announced by the conference Tuesday afternoon.

Lloyd broke the Dukes' pole vault record at the JMU Invitational, clearing a bar of 12' 10" (3.91m). The Christiansburg, Va. native crushed the previous program record of 3.80m, which was established in 2006 by Brittany Yates. Lloyd's mark ranks second in the conference this season and is 0.16m higher than her previous career-best.
Lloyd now holds both the indoor and outdoor pole vault records at James Madison.Â
