Rated a three-star prospect out of high school by ESPN, a "player with the skills to develop into a solid starter at the major college level"... Ranked as the #46 quarterback in the nation and the #19 overall prospect in the state of Maryland by Rivals.com... Was named the 2009 Player of the Year by the Washington Post...
