High School: Named First Team All-State by VirginiaPreps.com and First-Team All-Region as a tight end and defensive lineman after leading Grafton and Coach Jared Van Acker to 9-4 record and a Group AA Division 4 state semifinals berth, as well as the program’s first Region I Division 4 title in six years... Also was named the Region and Bay Rivers District Defensive Player of the Year after leading the Clippers with more than 70 tackles, including 32 tackles for loss and 12 sacks... Also caught 22 passes and four touchdowns as a tight end... Ranked No. 51 among the top 100 players in Virginia by the Roanoke Times... Was a consensus Group AA First Team All-State selection by VirginiaPreps.com, Associated Press and Virginia State High School Coaches Association at defensive end as a junior after recording 24 tackles for loss, 14 sacks and two blocked punts while helping the team to an 8-3 record... Also garnered First-Team All-Region I and All-District honors while being ranked in the top 25 prospects among defensive ends by MaxPreps after leading team to Region I playoffs for first time in five years...
