HARRISONBURG, Va. – James Madison track and field collected three All-State honors from the Virginia Sports Information Directors (VaSID).

Sofia Lavreshina earned First Team All-State while
Jordyn Henderson, Shelby Staib and
Miranda Stanhope all took home Second Team All-State honors.Â
Lavreshina was named First Team All-State in hurdles following an impressive rookie campaign. The Pombal, Portugal native holds the second-best 400m hurdles time in JMU history after recording a 59.75 in the event at the Bill Webb Combined Events/Bob Davidson Memorial. Lavreshina also collected All-East honors with her second-place time of 1:00.29 in the 400m hurdles at the ECAC Championships.
Henderson earned Second Team All-State in hurdles after also having a successful first season with the Dukes. The Chester, Va. native holds the second-best 100m hurdles time in program history with her mark of 13.78. Henderson was the only Duke to win an individual event at the ECAC Championships as she took home the gold in the 100m hurdles. She was also a member of the 4x100m relay team that finished second with a time of 46.74 at the ECAC Championships. Henderson closed out her rookie campaign at the USATF U20 Outdoor Championships in Eugene, Ore., where she competed in the 100m hurdles.Â
Staib, who set the JMU program record in the javelin with a throw of 48.92m, collected Second Team All-State in throws. The junior won the javelin at both the JMU Invite (46.97m) and the Liberty Twilight Qualifier (45.34m). Staib was the runner-up in the javelin at the ECAC Championships with her throw of 46.97m before going on to compete at the NCAA East Preliminary Round.Â
Stanhope took home Second Team All-State in distance. The Kinsman, Ohio native was the runner-up at the ECAC Championships in the 10,000m run with her time of 35:36.98 for All-East honors. Stanhope ran a personal-best 34:22.41 in the 10,000m at the Raleigh Relays to now rank third in program history for the event. She went on to compete in the 10,000m run at the NCAA East Preliminary Round.
