At JMU: Fourth-year Duke who is expected to compete for a starting LB spot... had an outstanding spring practice period as he continued the adjustment to the LB position after moving there for 2005... used at safety earlier during his JMU career... has three career blocked kicks.
2005: Played in each JMU game and was eighth on the team in tackles with 36, including 18 solo stops... had at least one tackle in each game... tied his career high with six stops (four solo, one for loss) vs. Maine... had five stops vs. Hofstra (three solo, one sack) and Delaware State (two solo)... at Delaware took part in four tackles, including one for loss, and partially blocked a punt... vs. Richmond was involved in four tackles, including an assist on tackle for loss, and forced a fumble... took part in three tackles vs. Lock Haven and Coastal Carolina.
2004: Played in 13 games (all but West Virginia and Hofstra) as a reserve safety and special teams player... blocked a punt at Furman in the playoffs to set up JMU’s first TD... had a career-high six tackles, including three solo and a sack, vs. Lock Haven... had four unassisted tackles in the national title game vs. Montana and was involved in two stops at Towson and at Furman and William & Mary in the playoffs... forced a Montana fumble.
2003: As a true freshman played in each game and started vs. Hofstra when JMU opened with five DBs... had five primary tackles and broke up a pass vs. Liberty and had five stops (three primary) at Virginia Tech in his first two JMU games... returned an interception 22 yards for a TD at Massachusetts... blocked a punt at Villanova... had two stops vs. Maine, Rhode Island and Charleston Southern.
Before JMU: All-league as a football RB and as a sprinter in track at Cambridge Rindge and Latin High School in 2001-02 before playing in 2002 at Bridgton (Maine) Academy... ran for 1,010 yards and 15 TDs and averaged 8.7 yards per carry as a senior... had 85 tackles and two interceptions... at Bridgton was a starter at RB and LB.
