WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – Senior
Nora Raher set a personal record and secured an Eastern College Athletic Conference-qualifying time to lead James Madison to third place out of 15 teams in day one of track and field competition at the Colonial Relays on Thursday evening.
Raher ran the 10,000-meter race in an ECAC-qualifying time of 35:31.59, good for a third-place finish out of 17 runners and her personal record. Raher bested her time from the Raleigh Relays in 2017 by 33.89 seconds.
In the 3,000-meter race, junior
Erin Saunders and freshman
Katie Fox respectively finished 15
th and 22
nd out of 30 racers with times of 10:19.17 and 10:41.03.
Junior
Sidra Morris wrapped up day one of competition for the Dukes with a fifth-place finish in the hammer throw after launching a distance of 47.74 meters.
