WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – Four personal records and four qualifying marks for the Eastern College Athletic Championships highlight day two of James Madison track and field action at the Colonial Relays on Friday evening.
After day two of competition, James Madison sits in ninth with 24 points out of a 39-team field. Villanova currently sits in first with 38.50 points followed by Stony Brook with 36 points and UMass Lowell with 34.66 points to round out the top three.
PERSONAL RECORDS
In the high jump, freshman
Callee Cox bested her previous mark earlier this season with a leap of 1.55 meters. Fellow freshman
Tally Lott turned in a personal best time of 24.99 seconds in the 200-meter dash, placing her 17th out of 69 runners.
Freshman
Sophie Bollinger notched her personal best in the 800-meter race, finishing in 2:21.22, beating her previous personal record by 2.31 seconds. Junior
Erica Jackson ran the 1,500-meter race in a personal best time of 4:35.84, good enough for 12th place out of 88 competitors.
ECAC-QUALIFYING MARKS | COMPLETE RESULTS
In the 100-meter dash, senior
Aereale Scott and sophomore
Alexys Taylor respectively finished fourth and fifth out of 67 runners with ECAC-qualifying times of 11.93 and 12.01 seconds.
Senior
De'Ana Forbes ran the 100-meter hurdles in an ECAC-qualifying time of 14.17 seconds, crossing the finish line in sixth out of 52 runners. Junior
Meredith Willis secured the final ECAC-qualifying time for JMU on Friday with a 24.65-second finish in the 200-meter dash, landing her in 13th place out of 69 runners.
