TAMPA, Fla. – Junior Nicolette Serratore of James Madison track and field wrapped up postseason competition for the Dukes at the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field East Preliminary at USF Track & Field Stadium on Thursday afternoon.

Serratore competed in the second out of three heats in the javelin throw, launching a distance of 39.35 meters which gave her 45th place.

"I'm very proud of Nicolette. She suffered an oblique strain just before the conference meet and has championed through the pain as best as she could to get through CAA's and today. She may not of had her best throw today but she made the most of the experience and we will continue to build and prepare for next year."
