LEXINGTON, Va. – James Madison track & field had all three relays qualify for the ECAC Championship over the two-day Keydet Invitational. Â

DAY TWO
Â
Lauren Smith competed in the 200m for the first time in her collegiate career to set a personal mark of 27.47, which was the best in her heat.
Â
Nicolette Serratore then set a personal record in the long jump with a 5.32m (17'5.5"). She finished eighth overall.
Matasha Martin took 11
th in the 44-jumper event.
Tess Lee took part in the event for the first time in her collegiate campaign.

Olivia Viparina wrapped up the individual events for the Dukes as she paced her way through the 3000m. The senior took 12
th out of 40 runners in the distance.
Sidra Morris finished second while
Dominique Johnson took seventh in the shot put. The two continued to throw distances that have landed them in the top-10 of every throwing event competed in this season.Â

The 4x400m relay followed suit of the relays from day one and qualified for the ECAC Championship. The team of
Tally Lott,
Jordan Bourgeois,
Anoush Stamm and
Alexys Taylor took third with a 3:51.82 time to beat the qualifying mark.
WHAT THEY'RE SAYING
Coach McCown: "It was great to qualify another relay for ECAC's today. Our goal for this weekend was to get all 3 relays qualified and we accomplished that."

DAY ONE

Tally Lott,
Matasha Martin and
Lauren Smith started off the Dukes day in the 60m dash prelims. Smith set a new personal best time in the event, while Lott and Martin both advanced to the semifinals.

Later, Lott would finish 16
th in the semis followed closely by Martin who came in 18
th.
Â
For the first time this season, JMU ran a squad in the 4x800m relay. The team of
Sophie Bollinger,
Erica Jackson, Maddi Knight &
Maggie Linton took second relay with a time of 9:09.84. The time marks an ECAC qualifying time.

Grace Eidson and
Lanie Jo Knight took part in the 1000m race for the first time in their collegiate careers. The two finished in 3:07.39 and 3:11.85, respectively.

Erin Saunders took second in the 5000m race.
Â
Dominique Johnson took 13
th in the weight throw for the Dukes, while
Jamie Richards took part in the event for the first time in her collegiate career.

Nicolette Serratore came out with a 1.55m high jump for the Dukes.

Finishing up the first day was the DMR team of
Averi Witt,
Jordan Bourgeois,
Sinead Sargeant and
Erica Jackson. The team took first with an ECAC qualifying time of 11:58.95.

Coach McCown: "Today's highlight was that we had impressive, ECAC qualifying, performances by both the 4x8 and DMR. It's exciting to add more depth to the qualifying list. Go Dukes!!"
