CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The James Madison track & field team sent the Dukes to the Virginia Grand Prix hosted by the University of Virginia.

Sidra Morris opened up the meet with a bang. She destroyed her own school record in the hammer throw winning the event with a 53.13m (174'3") toss.

Dominique Johnson then finished in fifth in the discus with a 47.32m (155'3") throw.

Leading off the day in the running events was the 4x100m relay. The Dukes squad came away with a 46.83 time in the event.

Morris was part of the shot-put invitational and came away with a ninth-place finish.
