LYNCHBURG, Va. – James Madison track & field wrapped up competition at the Liberty Elite Invitational on Saturday afternoon hosted by Liberty.

Only three Dukes competed on the final day of the meet, split between the 800m and the 1,000m races. To begin the day, freshman Rachel Mayberry completed her first collegiate race, finishing in fourth place with a time of 2:24.88 in the 800m.

In the 1,000m race, senior Sophie Bollinger led the way by crossing the finish line in fourth at 3:04.49. Freshman Mary Milby followed behind, finishing in 3:14.86 in her first collegiate race.
Quoting Coach Rinker
"Good way to wipe off the dust," head cross country/distance coach Dave Rinker said. " They put themselves in it and raced well. Great way for the middle distance group to start."

JMU returns to action next weekend on Friday and Saturday at the VMI Winter Relays in Lexington.
