LYNCHBURG, Va. -- Seniors
Bethany Biggi and
Erin Babashak opened up the indoor season for James Madison at the Liberty Kickoff Invitational Thursday afternoon inside the Liberty Indoor Track Complex.
Biggi lead the way with a fourth-place finish (3,236), while Babashak followed closely behind in fifth (3,173).
How It Happened
- Babashak rounded out the top five in the 60m hurdles with a time of 9.51 to start the meet.
- In the high jump, Biggi paced the Dukes with a clearance of 1.56m (fourth), while Babashak tied for fifth at 1.53m.
- Next, Babashak set a personal best in the shot put with a toss of 9.76m for fourth.
- The seniors both proved solid in the long jump, led by Biggi's third-place leap of 5.22m, followed by Babashak (4th - 5.19m)
- Biggi also took third in the 800m run with a time of 2:28.70.
