EUGENE, Ore. – Freshman hurdler
Jordyn Henderson represented the James Madison track and field team Friday afternoon at the USATF U20 Outdoor Championships at the University of Oregon's Hayward Field.Â

Henderson competed in the 100-meter hurdles, where she finished ninth in the first round with her time of 13.95. Her finish was just one spot shy of from moving on to the finals for the event.Â

"I am proud of Jordyn and all she accomplished to be at the meet," expressed Director of Track and Field and Cross Country
Ta' Frias. "She had a great start and was consistent throughout the race. She was too eager to get to the finish and hit the last hurdle. It was a good experience for her, one that she will learn from."

The Chester, Va. native ends her impressive rookie campaign as the 2022 ECAC outdoor 100m hurdles champion, All-East in both the indoor 60m hurdles and the outdoor 4x100m relay, second on the JMU all-time top 10 list for both the indoor 60m hurdles and the outdoor 100m hurdles and 10
th on the all-time list for the outdoor 4x100m relay.Â
