LEXINGTON, Va. – James Madison track & field captured three event titles on day one of the VMI Invitational on Friday night inside the CPTF-Corps Physical Training Facility.

Erica Moolman opened the day for the Dukes with a victory in the pole vault, clearing 3.65m (11-11.75). Elsewhere in the field, Ryann Bennett cracked the top 10 in program history in the weight throw with a mark of 14.43m (47-4.25).

- Holly Mpassy captured a win in the 300-meter dash in 39.45, followed by Christine Fitzgerald (3rd – 40.30), Faith Fuqua (4th – 40.82) and Virginia Keys (6th – 41.43).
- The Dukes won the distance medley relay in 12:18.80 with the crew of Alayna Gifford, Carol-Anne Garrett, Merrick Mock and Kylie Brooks.
- The quartet of Izzy Greene, Sidney Walters, Meghan Hundley and Kristin Giordano finished second in the 4x800-meter relay in 9:42.21.
- Kyndal Turner and Kaia Putman advanced in the 60-meter semis, both clocking in at 7.65.
- Meanwhile, Jordyn Henderson (8.55) and Kam'Dyn Thomas (8.96) moved on to Saturday's 60-meter hurdles finals.

- Jaiden Martellucci produced a season-best mark of 15.00m (49-2.5) in the weight throw.
