NOTE: Renee is a junior from Marshall, Va. She participates in sprints and has been a mainstay on the Dukes' 1,600m relay the past two seasons.
The accomplishment of which I am proudest is being recruited to be on a Division I collegiate track and field team.
This season my goal is to place at the conference meet in the 800 and 4x400 relay.
My dream job is to be a pediatrician.
My favorite place on campus is D-Hall (dining hall) because it has GREAT food, and the track team goes there every night for dinner, fun times.
The best thing about JMU is the nice/happy/dedicated/fun people, athletics, and food, so basically I love JMU.
I chose to come to JMU because of the track team, academics, Coach Walton, the Athletic Performance Center, the Quad, the fountain on Newman Lake, and people will hold open the door for you.
I chose my major because I love to help people and I love kids.
My favorite track and field memory is (in high school)when we needed to win the last race of the day, the 4x400m, in order to win the Virginia state meet. Our team was in last place by an entire 100 meters when my teammate handed off the baton to me. I put us from eighth place to first place to win the 4x400m and the whole state meet.
JMU track and field/cross country is da bomb.
Being a college athlete has meant this to me: everything!
My contribution to the JMU track and field program has been pretty good but very incomplete. I'm excited/ready for the years to come to see how far I will go and how well this team can and will do.
