RALEIGH, N.C. – James Madison's second day at the Raleigh Relays was driven by the performances of its relay teams as three of the six event results of the day involved relays.
The day started with the 6,000-meter relay squad earning a fifth-place finish in its first race of the year. The group of senior

The 4x200-meter relay also turned in a noteworthy performance with a ninth-place finish out of 25 squads. Sophomore

In the other relay of the day, the squad of Simmons, Burrow, senior
Jasmine Waddell and Wellman placed 13
th out of 30 entrants in the 4x400-meter relay in 3:57.06.
Among individual events during the day, sophomore
Ebony Owusu-Sampah placed 16
th in the triple jump with a distance of 11.64 meters. Waddell covered the 400-meter hurdles circuit in 1:06.68 to place 35
th. Senior
Kelsey Langton was 17
th in the 800-meter run in 2:16.93 with senior
Morgan Sheaffer just behind in 19
th in 2:17.28.
The Dukes will split next weekend with part of the squad competing in the Colonial Relays at William and Mary while another group travels to Lynchburg to the Liberty Invitational.
