FAIRFAX, Va. – Competing in Virginia for the second of three consecutive weeks, James Madison qualified two more individuals and one relay for the ECAC Championships at Saturday's Mason Spring Invitational.

After qualifying two relays for the ECAC Championships at last weekend's Colonial Relays, the Dukes added a third at Mason with the 4x100-meter relay. The team of sophomore

Two hurdlers posted ECAC-qualifying times as senior
Jasmine Waddell and freshman
Aereale Scott placed sixth and seventh, respectively, in the event. Waddell finished sixth in 14.44 seconds followed immediately by Scott in 14.49 seconds.

Freshman
Tyrah Burrow won the 400-meter dash last week at the Colonial Relays and improved that time at the Mason Spring Invitational, placing fifth in 56.31 seconds.

Sophomore
Nia Jones placed eighth in the triple jump with a distance of 11.41 meters, while sophomore
Kennedy King was 15
th in 10.91 meters. In another jumping event, sophomore
Morgan Crewe cleared 1.60 meters on the high jump to place 10
th.

In other top 15 finishes, Johnson claimed 11
th in the 200-meter dash in 25.01 seconds, Waddell placed 13
th in the 400-meter hurdles in 1:04.22 and senior
Rachel Hagen was 13
th (18:11.19) in the 3200-meter run.

JMU will host its only home meet of the season next Saturday with competition in the 2015 JMU Invitational. Admission for the event is free while the entire competition will also be streamed on live video on MadiZONE HD SportsNet presented by the JMU Alumni Associaiton.
