LEXINGTON, Va. – A new personal record and three top-ten finishes highlight the James Madison track and field team's weekend at the Keydet Invitational at VMI.

DAY ONE RECAP
QUALIFIED FOR FINALS
- Senior Aereale Scott ran the 60-meter hurdles in 8.54 seconds which equals her personal record and gave her third place in the semifinals.
- Senior De'Ana Forbes' 8.65-second 60-meter hurdle time landed her second in her heat and fifth overall.

OVERALL PLACING
- Senior Gina Bischof ran her personal best in the 500-meter race with a time of 1:21.33 which gave her 16th place out of 31 runners.
- Sophomore Caitlin Swanson landed in third place in the 5,000-meter race with a time of 17:58.53.

- Scott and Forbes finished fifth (8.79 seconds) and sixth (8.80 seconds), respectively in the 60-meter hurdles.
- Junior Meredith Willis finished ninth out of 58 runners in the 200-meter dash.
- Sophomore Jordan Bourgeois ran a 58.54-second 400-meter dash time which landed her in eighth place out of 43 runners.
- Freshman Tally Lott, senior Charlie Bell, Bourgeois and Willis represented the James Madison 'A' team in the 4x400-meter relay and crossed the finish line in 6th place out of 20 teams with a time of 3:53.56.

PERSONAL RECORD
- Lott bested her 200-meter dash time from the Navy Lid Lifter (26.39 seconds) with a 25.78-second mark on Saturday.

"This weekend was a good benchmark of where we are in our training. We had a few personal bests and close to record breaking races. The plan is to continue to develop over the next few weeks and prepare for the championship season."
