Sidra Morris set a program record as James Madison won eight track and field events and set nine personal records at the JMU Invitational on Saturday at Sentara Park.

The Dukes placed first out of four teams with a score of 69 points. Colonial Athletic Association foe Towson finished second with 66 points.

Alexys Taylor took first in the tight-raced 100-meter dash with a time of 11.80 seconds. In the 100-meter hurdles, senior
Aereale Scott crossed the finish line in first in an ECAC-qualifying time of 14.01 seconds.

Erin Saunders dominated the 5000-meter race, crossing the finish line in 17:50.74 seconds which was a little under 1:30 faster than the second place finisher. Freshman
Averi Witt improved her time in the 1500-meter race, taking first place in 4:40.31.

De'Ana Forbes set the facility record in the 4x100 relay with a time of 45.84 seconds, landing the team second in program history.

Dominique Johnson landed in first place in the discus throw with a personal record and ECAC-qualifying time of 47.51 meters.

Tally Lott improved her season-best time in the 100-meter dash, crossing the finish in 12.08 seconds. Junior

Kelly Oler turned in personal best times of 58.30 and 58.64 seconds, respectively.

In the shot put, Morris turned in a personal record distance of 14.64 meters which landed her in third place.
