WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. –
Nicolette Serratore of James Madison track & field took on the Queens University Combined Events and came away with a first-place finish in the pentathlon.

The senior started out in seventh out of the 29-person field in the 60m hurdles. She remained in 7
th following the high jump where she bumped her total to 1445. Her personal record shot put throw moved her up for fourth place.

Serratore then added 634 points in the long jump, which still kept her in fourth place with one event to complete. She then continued to stay focused and won the 800m dash to push her into first place. Her 3463-point total was one shy of her personal best and was good enough to qualify her for the ECAC Championship. She is now the seventh individual to qualify for the ECAC Championship for the Dukes.
