SAN ANTONIO, Texas – James Madison track & field wrapped up their opening outdoor meet with two school records broken and movement within the top-10 in three events. JMU also had two ECAC qualifiers and strong performances to land on the NCAA East Preliminary list.

DAY THREE
The Dukes started off the final day with the field events.
Matasha Martin came out and tied her personal best mark in the long jump.
Jantsen Wilson came up in sixth place with her triple jump performance.

JMU took to the track starting with the 400m dash.
Anoush Stamm finished in ninth place and was followed closely by
Jordan Bourgeois who finished 10
th.
Kelly Oler took 11
th in the event with a personal best mark.

Dominque Johnson came into her second day of competition in the discus and tossed it a personal record 48.41m (158'10"). This was the fourth best throw in the competition and an ECAC qualifying throw. Johnson also now sits as the second furthest throw in JMU history in the event and it currently sits in 20
th on  the NCAA East preliminary qualifying list.

The Dukes wrapped up their performances with a seventh-place finish in the 4x400m relay behind the team of Stamm,
Meredith Willis,
Tess Lee and
Jordan Bourgeois.

DAY TWO
Serratore wrapped up the heptathlon with the long jump, javelin and 800m. She jumped up to fifth place overall with her long jump distance.

Then she set a school record in the javelin throw breaking her record from last season with a throw of 48.43m (158'11"). The throw qualified her for the ECAC Outdoor Track & Field Championship and currently sits as the third furthest throw on the NCAA East Preliminary qualifying list. Â Serratore bumped up to third place overall in the heptathlon with just the 800m dash remaining.

Serratore was not done breaking records, as she crushed the school heptathlon record with a total of 4,828 points. She broke the 4,796-point record set by Jennifer Monk in 2013. Her point total gave her third in the heptathlon at the meet and is the third most points scored in the heptathlon on the NCAA East Preliminary qualifying list.

Sidra Morris got the Dukes started off in the field events taking on the hammer throw. She finished the event in sixth place overall.

Dominique Johnson set a personal record in the shot put with a 14.05m (46'1.35"), which is now fourth best in program history. She finished eighth in the event and also qualified for the ECAC Championship.

Megan Fry took part in her first event for JMU in the javelin. She now sits in fifth in JMU history in the event with her throw of 37.98m.

DAY ONE
First up, Serratore took part in the 100m hurdles and landed in eighth with 759 points. She then tied her personal best high jump mark clearing 1.60m (5'3") which added 736 points to her total.

She had the second-best shot-put throw to push her up to fourth place overall with 2,076 points with one event remaining for the first day. She finished the first day with 2,633 points after a personal best performance in the 200m.
