PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – James Madison track & field took on the 125th running of the Penn Relays competing in the distance medley relay and 3000m steeplechase.

The DMR squad of Kayla Connelly, Anoush Stamm, Maggie Linton and Erica Jackson came away with a sixth-place finish in the event of the 15 teams. Jackson recorded the fastest 1600m split of any teams competing, while Stamm's 400m split was the second fastest.

Senior Olivia Viparina competed in the 3000m steeplechase against 32 runners. She came away with a 12th-place finish recording a season-best time of 10:30.67.

 "It was a good day overall. The DMR was solid, but we know we can run better and we will. Olivia had her best race of the year and she beat some very good people."
