LEXINGTON, Va. – Freshman
Erica Moolman set the James Madison track & field indoor pole vault record at the VMI Winter Classic hosted by VMI on Friday.

In her second collegiate meet of her career, Moolman won the pole vault with a height of 3.68m. In her first meet, she completed the pole vault in 3.50m leading to a .18m increase. The previous school record for the indoor pole vault was 3.67m set by
Alicia LaRoche in 2007.

Maddie Croteau improved her personal best in the pole vault, as she finished fourth with a leap of 3.20m, moving her to seventh in program history.

Porsha Miles also competed on the first day of the VMI Classic as she ran the 400m race, nearly cracking a podium finish in 59.85 seconds which landed her in fourth place.
