WILLIAMSBURG, Va. -- The James Madison track & field program gained experience this weekend at William & Mary's Colonial Relays, highlighted by a pair of event victories.
On Friday, senior
Maddie Croteau cleared 3.35m (10' - 11.75") in the pole vault for a personal-best and first place in the competition. With that mark, Croteau is now tied as the sixth-best outdoor pole vaulter in school history with former Duke
Erin Harrison. The following day, senior
Jenae Bowers earned the shot put title with a throw of 12.75m (41' - 10") on her second attempt. For Croteau and Bowers, their first-place efforts were the first of their careers at JMU.
