HARRISONBURG, Va. – James Madison track & field announced its full 2024-25 schedule, highlighted by hosting the 2025 Sun Belt Conference Outdoor Championship, as announced by Director of Track & Field and Cross Country
Delethea Quarles on Friday afternoon.
The indoor season consists of six meets, including four in the Commonwealth of Virginia: Hokie Invitational (Jan. 17-18), VMI Invitational (Jan. 24-25), Marlin Invitational (Jan. 31) and Darius Dixon Memorial Invitational (Feb. 14-15).
From there, the Dukes will head to Birmingham, Ala. for the Sun Belt Indoor Championship (Feb. 24-25) and will hope to qualify individuals for the ECAC Indoor Championship (March 7-9) and NCAA Indoor Championships (March 14-15). The national meet will take place at the Virginia Beach Sports Center in Virginia Beach, Va., marking the first time the event will be contested in Virginia.
For the outdoor slate, JMU will venture to Raleigh, N.C. for the Raleigh Relays (March 27-29) for the fourth year in a row. The Dukes are slated to compete in Harrisonburg on April 12 for the JMU Invite. James Madison will head to Philadelphia to compete in the Penn Relays (April 24-26) before returning home to host the league's outdoor championship meet on May 8-10.
Regional qualifiers will make their way to Jacksonville, Fla. for the NCAA East First Round, hosted by North Florida. The 2025 NCAA Outdoor Championships take place in Eugene, Ore. at Oregon's Hayward Field on June 11-14.
