BOSTON, Mass. – James Madison track and field saw three top-eight program performances, five ECAC-qualifying marks and set five new personal records at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational at Boston University on Friday.
PROGRAM MARKS
Freshman
Tally Lott ran into seventh all-time in the indoor 200-meter dash with a time of 24.99 seconds, which gave her 20th place out of 207 runners and a new personal record.
Sophomore
Jordan Bourgeois set her new personal record in the 400-meter dash with a time of 57.37 seconds. Bourgeois' 400-meter time lands her eighth all-time in JMU history.
Senior
Nora Raher crossed the finish line in sixth place out of 50 runners in the 5,000-meter race with an ECAC-qualifying and new personal record time of 16:50.43. With that finish, Raher now sits in fifth in program history.
ECAC MARKS
Junior
Meredith Willis notched ECAC-qualifying times in the 60-meter and 200-meter dashes with respective times of 7.68 and 24.64 seconds. Willis' 7.68-second 60-meter time landed her sixth out of nine runners in the finals.
In the 1,000-meter race, junior
Erica Jackson ran an ECAC-qualifying time of 2:50.91, crossing the finish line in 14th place out of 78 runners.
Freshman
Skyla Davidson set her new personal record in the triple jump with an ECAC-qualifying mark of 12.09 meters, landing her in third place out of 35 jumpers.
PERSONAL RECORDS
Junior
Erin Saunders set her personal best in the 5,000-meter race in 17:49.41 seconds.
FORBES' DOMINANCE
Senior
De'Ana Forbes continued her great stretch of performances in the 60-meter hurdles, as she won the event with a time of 8.55 seconds.
