Nicolette Serratore won one of their respective events to highlight James Madison track and field at the Mason Spring Invitational on Saturday evening.

The Dukes saw six Eastern College Athletic Championship-qualifying times while notching 11 top-five finishes and five personal records, landing in second place out of 15 teams with a score of 107. VCU came in first with 135 points and William & Mary rounded out the top three with 69.5 points.

Taylor won the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.70 seconds and turned in an ECAC-qualifying time of 24.72 seconds in the 200-meter race. Serratore garnered first in the javelin throw with a distance of 47.59 meters.

Seniors
Aereale Scott,
De'Ana Forbes, junior
Meredith Willis and Taylor teamed up to run the 4x100-meter relays, crossing the finish line in second out of seven teams with an ECAC-qualifying time of 46.44 seconds.

In the 100-meter hurdles, Scott and Forbes finished third and fourth, respectively out of 22 runners with time of 14.11 and 14.23 seconds.

Scott also set her personal record in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.86 seconds, good for third place out of 42 runners. Forbes turned in a personal best time of 24.72 seconds in the 200-meter dash, sitting her 17th out of 53 runners.

Freshman
Tally Lott bested her season's performance in the 100-meter dash, turning in a 12.25-second finish, good for 16th out of 42 runners.

Junior
Erica Jackson improved her 1,500-meter race time for the third consecutive competition, notching a third place finish out of 55 runners with a time of 4:29.76.

In the 5,000-meter race, junior
Erin Saunders finished in 17:47.79, landing in second place out of 21 runners.

Junior
Sidra Morrs landed herself in second place in the shot put, after tossing an ECAC-qualifying distance of 13.79 meters. Fellow junior
Dominique Johnson set her personal record in the shot out with a 13.49-meter throw, falling right behind Morris in third place. Johnson also turned in an ECAC-qualifying distance of 43.88 meters in the discus throw, sitting her in fifth place out of 18 throwers.

UP NEXT
James Madison will split the team and compete at the UVa Challenge on April 20-21 and the JMU Invitation at Sentara Park on April 21. The JMU Invitational will serve as senior day for the Dukes.
