HARRISONBURG, Va. – On a picture perfect day at Sentara Park the Dukes took on the JMU Invitational. The Dukes won 12 of the 18 events to finish with 93 points as a team, while Robert Morris finished with 64 and Radford had eight points.
FIELD EVENTS
Megan Fry started the Dukes off with a win in the javelin throw. She bested her personal best by throwing the javelin 39.59m (129'09"), which still stands as fifth farthest in JMU history.
Sierra Butler came in third in the event besting her personal best mark by almost 8-meters.
Sidra Morris won the hammer throw with a throw of 52.03m (170'08"). She had the best throw in the event by just over 8-meters. Following her win in the hammer throw, Morris took first in the shot put. Dominique finished third in the event and set a new personal event 14.06m, which is still ranked as fourth farthest in JMU history.
Matasha Martin finished first in the long jump with a personal best mark.
Tess Lee was not far behind in taking third place with a new personal best mark in the event.
Nicolette Serratore tied her personal best mark in the high jump when she cleared 1.60m (5'3"). Both her and Nicole Florio of Robert Morris were able to clear the 1.60m bar.
Jamie Richards set a new personal best in the discus with a throw of 39.98m (131'2"). It was good enough for a second-place finish in the event.
Jantsen Wilson wrapped up the field events in the triple jump with a new personal best mark. She won the event and bumped the team score to 88 points to remain in first through 16 events.
RUNNING EVENTS
Opening up on the track, the Dukes won the 4x100m relay with a squad of Martin, Meredeith Willis,
Tally Lott and
Alexys Taylor.
Following the 4x100m relay,
Nicolette Serratore came up with a 100m hurdles personal record. She bested her time by .08. In the 400m dash,
Anoush Stamm took first in the event, while
Tess Lee and
Kelly Oler followed up in third and fourth.
Meredith Willis won the 100m dash in a new personal best time of 11.74.
Alexys Taylor and
Lauren Smith wrapped up the top-three taking second and third place, respectively. Willis also took first in the 200m dash in her final home meet as a Duke with a new personal best time.
The Dukes went one-through five in the 800m run.
Maggie Linton took the victory in the race, followed closely by
Averi Witt and
Kayla Connelly who took second and third, respectively.
JMU went 1-2-3 in the 5000m run with senior
Erin Saunders winning the race.
Caitlin Swanson followed her in second and
Katie Fox finished third in her first time competing in the event.
Wrapping up the day, the 4x400m relay team of
Anoush Stamm,
Tess Lee,
Tally Lott and
Kelly Oler took first to seal JMU's victory at the JMU Invitational.
SENIOR DAY
The Dukes were able to honor eight of their nine seniors to wrap up the day.
Olivia Viparina was at the Virginia Challenge competing in the 3000m steeplechase Invite.

VIRGINIA CHALLENGE
Viparina was part of the 3000m steeplechase invite. She finished 16
th out of the 27-runner field.
Erica Jackson was just off a personal best mark in the 1500m invite. Her 4:30.52 time placed her in 22
nd in the 42-runner field.
