BOSTON, Mass. – James Madison track & field traveled up north to compete in the David Hemery Valentine Invitational held at Boston University while also beginning action at the Darius Dixon Memorial held at Liberty on Friday. 
 
Caitlin Swanson led action off for the Dukes at the David Hemery Valentine Invite with a fifth-place finish in the 5,000-meter race in a personal record time of 17:43.13. 
McKenzi Watkins also turned in a top-10 finish placing seventh in season-best time of 17:44.07. 
 
In the 3,000m race, 
Laura Webb (10:20.19) and 
Maddy Hesler (10:29.91) both posted season-best times. 
Sinead Sargeant crossed the finish line in 47th out of 259 runners in the 800m race, clocking a personal best 2:14.17. 
 
Tess Lee secured a personal best time in the 400m race, finishing in 58.40 seconds. 
Meredith Willis ran into 14th place out of 295 runners in the 200m race with a time of 24.49 seconds. 
Dardlie Lefevre (25.13) and 
Tally Lott (25.39) both ran the 200m as well and produces season best finishes. 
 
In the 4x400m race, Willis and Lee teamed up with 
Jordan Bourgeois and 
Porsha Miles to finish in 12th out of 58 teams in an ECAC qualifying time of 3:50.17. The team's time marks the fastest 4x400m race by JMU this season. 
 
Darius Dixon Memorial
Hallie Reese and 
Jamie Richards were the sole Dukes competing in the first day of the Darius Dixon Memorial as both set personal records in the weight throw with respective marks of 13.38m and 12.91m.
