LEXINGTON, Va. – Junior
Lauren Smith earned two top-three placements to lead James Madison track & field in the last day of competition at the VMI Winter Relays on Saturday.

Smith began the day in the 60m finals after finishing second in her heat preliminary race yesterday. Smith completed the finals in 8.06 seconds to cross the finish line in second place. In the 200m race, Smith secured third place in 26.72 seconds.

JMU's freshmen put on a show today as
Rachel Mayberry (2:24.97) and
Mary Milby (2:25.96) finished respectively in third and fifth in the 800m race. In her first collegiate race,
Leyjah Hamrick finished fifth in the 200m race with a time of 26.89 seconds.

The last freshman to show out was
Miranda Stanhope who finished in third in the 3,000m race with a time of 10:00.48.
