LEXINGTON, Ky. – Senior
Tessa Mundell of James Madison track and field will compete in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the 2017 NCAA Division I Track and Field East Preliminary on Friday, May 26.
The steeplechase will take place at 8:20 p.m. at the Kentucky Outdoor Track & Field Complex on the campus of the University of Kentucky.
Mundell, who will be making her first NCAA preliminary appearance, qualified with a personal-best mark of 10:27.92 at the ECAC Championships on May 12, where she finished fourth. She also took fourth at the Colonial Athletic Association Championships the previous week.
The top twelve competitors from each individual event in the Preliminary Round advance to the NCAA Division I Track and Field Championship in Eugene, Ore. from June 7-10.
