At JMU: Fifth-year Duke and a returning strong safety starter… moved to safety when JMU went to an eight-man front defense in 2004… plays hard and “has one of the biggest hearts” on the team, said defensive coordinator George Barlow… a key factor in JMU’s defensive success last season, said Barlow… used at WR and CB previously.
2004: Started each game… had 9.5 tackles for loss, including 6.5 sacks, tying for the No. 2 mark on the team… tied for the team lead with three fumble recoveries -- two at Villanova and one vs. Massachusetts… involved in two sacks at Villanova and blocked a punt vs. Massachusetts… had a career-high six tackles, including a sack, at Maine and had two sacks at Lehigh… also had sacks vs. Richmond and Virginia Military… credited with four tackles in five games, including playoff contests vs. Lehigh, Furman and Montana… returned an interception 11 yards vs. Delaware and forced fumbles at Richmond and Lehigh.
2003: Returned five kickoffs for 65 yards in 11 games… had primary stops vs. Hofstra and Charleston Southern.
2002: Slowed early by problems that ended his 2001 season but returned to play at Hofstra, where he had two tackles… had an assist vs. Villanova and a primary stop vs. Maine… had a two-yard run from scrimmage vs. Maine and a nine-yard catch at Delaware.
2001: Played in JMU's first two games but didn't return after suffering cramping problems.
