Bio
At JMU: Fourth-year Duke who with Alvin Banks and Maurice Fenner gives JMU a solid TB rotation… runs hard, is elusive and “knows how to make defenders miss,” said RB coach Ulrick Edmonds.
2003: Played in 11 JMU games (all but New Hampshire)… third on the team in rushing yards and attempts… returned two kickoffs for 32 yards… had season highs of 13 carries and 58 rushing yards and caught a pass for six yards at Villanova… ran nine times for 44 yards vs. Liberty and nine times for 35 yards vs. Northeastern… had a 28-yard reception vs. Northeastern and a one-yard scoring run vs. Charleston Southern.
2002: Played in each JMU game, mostly on special teams, and had three strong efforts to close the year… third on the team in rushing… ran 10 times for 42 yards in JMU’s opener vs. Hampton but had only one carry during the next eight games… ran for 97 yards and JMU’s only offensive TD in a 15-11 win at Rhode Island, seven times for 35 yards and a TD vs. William & Mary, and 14 times for 87 yards at Northeastern… had all of his yards at Rhode Island in the second half, and his one-yard TD run put JMU in front to stay… vs. William & Mary scored the decisive points on a one-yard overtime run… had season-long carries of 21 yards vs. William & Mary and Northeastern… blocked a punt to set up a TD vs. New Hampshire.
High School: Ran for more than 1,000 yards in each of his three final High Point years… all-league, all-county and honorable mention all-state and played in the county all-star game as a senior… team MVP as a junior… on two state track title teams and an 800-meter relay squad that ranked fourth nationally.
