At JMU: Fourth-year Duke who with Tom Ridley and Casime Harris provides experienced TE depth… is strong, is the fastest of the team’s TE, has good hands and runs well after catching the ball, said TE coach Phil Ratliff… in 2003 played in each JMU game and started vs. Liberty and Massachusetts… had seven-yard receptions at Massachusetts and New Hampshire… in 2002 had two receptions for 46 yards, including a season-long grab of 32 yards, vs. Massachusetts… also had receptions vs. Florida Atlantic, Villanova, Richmond and Maine… lettered as a true freshman in 2001.
High School: Standout TE and LB on Southern Columbia Area teams that won three league, district and regional titles… had 55 career catches for 1,363 yards and 11 TDs and on defense had 106 career tackles, three interceptions and 12.5 sacks… twice was his team's outstanding skill-position player… named to the state all-star game and was a Big 33 finalist… at TE was first-team all-league and first-team all-state by Pennsylvania Football News and second-team all-state by Associated Press.
