At JMU: Second-year Duke is expected to be among the team’s top LBs and who could work as a safety… gained valuable experience a year ago as a true freshman and is athletic with good speed, said LB coach Kyle Gillenwater.
2003: Played in each JMU game and started at William & Mary… had a season-high 10 stops (eight primary) vs. Richmond… had five tackles (two primary) and broke up two passes vs. Liberty in his first JMU game… had five stops (three primary) at William & Mary… had four stops vs. Virginia Tech and Charleston Southern.
High School: Virginia Group AA player of the year in 2001 when he led Harrisonburg to a state title… in 2002 was first-team all-state as a safety and second-team as an RB… ran for 2,157 yards and 32 TDs as a junior and for 990 yards as a senior… intercepted four passes as a senior.
