At JMU: Transfer from Duke with one season of eligibility… joined the JMU program after spring drills… has good speed and the ability to be a “big-play” type of performer, said coach Mickey Matthews.
Before JMU: Played at Duke from 2000-03… medical red-shirt in 2000 (injured after three games)… fourth on the team in receiving in 2001… caught 21 passes for 263 during the team’s final seven games… had five catches for 61 yards and his first two college TDs in the season-finale vs. Clemson… in 2002 led Duke in receiving and his six TD catches were the most by a Blue Devil sophomore since 1985… had three TD catches of 40 or more yards… had seven receptions for 90 yards, including a 45-yard TD grab, vs. Navy… caught five passes for 122 yards, including a career-long 54-yarder, vs. Clemson… Duke’s outstanding receiver… ran seven times for 27 yards and averaged 6.2 yards on 26 punt returns… in 2003 tied for second on the team in receptions after being a preseason second-team all-league choice by The Sporting News.
